Setup guidelines to create your own white-label app.

STEP-1 :

Download the PlugXR Android Project from the Publish screen.

STEP-2 :

Extract the downloaded project using any zip tool and import the folder to your Android Studio.

If you don’t have Android Studio, download it from here and follow the installation guide here.

Open Android Studio Click on File Open Select your project folder Ok

(Android Studio is an open source tool to create Android apps)

STEP-3 :

In the project window on the left hand side, select UnityPlayerActivity Java file under com.Innovare.Plugxr

Open UnityPlayerActivity, this is where you have to add your Vuforia license keys.

Important Note :- Don’t Change the LoadSceneName String.

STEP-4 :

Go to Gredel Scripts from the project window, select build.gradel to change your app bundle identifier to your own desired name.

(Bundle Identifier is the name given to the application package for identification)

Example : com.Innovare.Plugxr to com.yourcompany.projectname

STEP-5 :

Go to Tools Android Sync Project with Gradle Files

Or click on the shortcut button shown below.

STEP-6 :

Now click on the Run button as shown in the image below.

If you can’t find the Run button, Go to Build Build APK(s)

STEP-7 :

Now you can create a java file in the project so you can add your own customized Splash Screen.

Right click the bundle and click on NewActivityEmpty Activity

STEP-8 :

Select activity_splash_screen.xml under main activitylayout

If you can’t find the Run button, Go to Build Build APK(s)

To add a button to your splash screen, paste the code below in activity_splash_screen.xml (note that you can edit the text of the button under android:text= “your button name here” )

Guidelines to publish your AR creation to the PlugXR App

STEP-1 :

Click on “Publish” under “PREVIEW IN PLUGXR”.

STEP-2 :

Install the PlugXR app on your device.

STEP-3 :

Select Developer from the menu.

STEP-4 :

Select the Marker type of the AR experience and then enter the Project ID to proceed.

STEP-5 :

The Project ID is a six character identification code that can be found in the Preview tab of the web tool.

STEP-6 :

After entering the Project ID, The app will take you to the camera. Point the camera at your marker to experience your creation.
